2011 Fashion Fair


This year the Sixth edition is all set to sweep you of the feet, with the fair expecting, more than 200 brands and a bigger visitor presense. The show is being held at The Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai from July 10 - 12 July 2011 will mix business & pleasure together. As a symbol of it's growing popularity, this years edition will feature Win 100 Gifts! Fashions shows* on the sildelines of fair

The fair will mark a grand opening by one of the leading men of this industry. Be there to grab this opportunity.

Guidelines for filling up the Application form
  • The application is for the use of members of Chennai apparel Association (CAA) for the display of their products and bookings only.

  • The members are eligible to apply for one stall for one brand. Also the member can indicate for an alternate stall which will be considered in case of the original stall (applied for) is not available or has not been allotted to any other booking member. Bulk booking of the stalls will be given preference. Please mention the stall type clearly.

  • If required, the booking member can apply for additional stall at additional costs. For application of additional stall a separate application form would be required to be submitted by the booking members. For additional application form kindly contact the CAA office. Please note that the additional application of stall are subject to availability.

  • The application form is to be enclosed along with two Cheques / DD's covering the cost of the stall and security deposit as follows.

  • Cheques/DD’s are to be sent in favour of Chennai Apparel Association.

  • The application along with the respective Cheques/DD’s is to reach the CAA office on or before 5 pm on the 25th May 2011.

  • Due acknowledgment for the receipt of forms & payment Cheques/DD’s shall be given by CAA.

  • Forms sent without the Cheques/DD’s shall not be considered for allotment.

  • All cheques cleared through our Banks will only be considered for allotment of stalls otherwise the same would be rejected.

  • Cash will not be accepted as a mode of payment.

Options for Non CAA members to participate in the fair:

  • 25% extra on the charges as mentioned in the respective brochures of stall charges, souvenir advt., and any other as applicable

  • Other state manufacturers / distributors / agents can also become Non Resident Members of the association and can avail of the benefit of the 25% extra charges being waived off on all the activities of the association in which as applicable for a period of 3 years i.e.till 31-03-2014

Terms & Conditions
  • The Sixth Annual Garment Fair is for the display of the products and bookings only. No sale shall be conducted, CAA reserves the right to levy penalty on parties found in breach of the CAA norms. The first allotment of stalls would take place on 25th May and allotment would be informed appropriately.

  • CAA will constitute a committee for the purpose of the allotment of stalls. All decisions of the allotment Committee of CAA in this regard will be final.

  • While every effort will be made for the allotment of one stall per application. CAA cannot guarantee the allotment of the applied stall. The members are to indicate alternate stall while submitting applications forms. The allotment of alternate stall shall be done with prior information to the booking member/party.

  • In case of over booking the decision on allotment by the Allotment committee CAA will be final. Application received after 5 p.m. of the 25th May 2011 shall not be considered. The same shall be taken into consideration only on availability of stalls after allotment of the initial application.

  • An application once allotted cannot be withdrawn/cancelled.

  • The working hours for the Fair are 10 a.m. to 8-00 p.m.

  • Subject to Chennai Jurisdiction.

  • Refund Rules :

    • Incase of non-allotment the entire amount collected/realized from the booking party will be refunded by CAA by 20th June 2011.

    • In case of cancellation, of the allotted stall, before 10th June 2011, 50% of the stall cost shall be forfeited.

    • The balance 50% of stall cost and security deposit shall be refunded to the concerned party

    • Any cancellation of the allotted stall after 20th June 2011 would result in the forfeiture of the entire stall cost and only the security deposit shall be refunded to the concerned party. In case of unforseen circumstances, CAA will be entitled to take suitable steps as deemed fit for the refund the amounts collected.
